Hummingbird in December

  1. Our hummingbirds all have gone south.

They will be back in April, we always see what seems to be a scout before they all come back

  3. I wondered what they ate here in the winter. But, the roses are still blooming and some of the wildflowers are staring to bloom. I'm in the foothills of Central Cali mlaiuppa!

  4. We live on the North Olympic Peninsula, a mile south of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, on the other side of which is Canada. We have Anna's hummingbirds here through the winter for the second year. During the occasional big freezes, I've thawed the food and they come and drink. What would they eat if I didn't feed them? There is little blooming at all as we had a long hard cold snap around Thanksgiving.
