Sky Cry

I can't get out with my camera. The roads, low pastures and barnyard have all turned into fast running streams. It's CRAzy! I chose these photos today because I've been thinking alot lately about perceptions. How you...and I...can look at the same thing...in very different ways...yet...it doesn't change what something IS.

Ridin' the Blue Skies

It was another night of pounding, pouring rain. This morning is clear, blue and bright.
I just came down to get a coffee refill. I'm gonna' stay out and enjoy every second of it that I can.
Forecasts...more rain this evening. So...gonna' ride the blue while it's here!

Finally, We See The SUN!

It's been a LONG, wet week. So good to be dry and feel some warmth!

Blank

Pain has an element of blank;
It cannot recollect
When it began, or if there was
A time when it was not.
It has no future but itself,
Its infinite realms contain
Its past, enlightened to perceive
New periods of pain.

Going Home

The cross has been on the hill, in one form or another, since I was a little girl. Every Easter sunday, people...strangers, would gather there and watch the sunrise. Mom wanted me to give a special shout out to Miss Shreve of The Daily Coyote! Me, as my usual frumpy self, just wishes PEACE and love to y'all!

Going Home 2

When you live in any town, the daily stresses of job, kids, bills, life, tired at the end of the day, you go home, shut the door and forget what you're a part OF. My hometown is...charming. The murals painted by talented artists make turning every corner a wonderful surprise. I'm putting a few up today. To sit at the Wildflower, in the garden and have a tea or latte, to walk the streets and have everyone say,"Hello" It made me miss the town and those of you who are there that...I LOVE! More "small town" fabulous art...tomorrow!

Going Home...Part 1

My mom was able to go with me to the cemetery for the first time. And for the first time, I didn't cry.
I felt a sense of peace. The little pine tree near Isaac's stone, one of the reasons I chose the spot, is almost 8 feet tall now. Looking from where this part of him is you can see past the little stone chapel to the snow
capped Sierra Nevadas. Mom and I walked the cemetery and found the stones of many of our family. My Great grandpa, my uncles, My little grandma. It gave me a feeling of "rightness", of continuity, of family, of belonging, of HOME. I am not alone. I am a part of all those before me and all those who'll come after me. Oh and Mom? Thank you. I love you. To my son, Isaac, I wish...and I love you too.
